The Spatio-Temporal Analysis of Urban-Rural Coordinated Development and Its Driving Forces in Yangtze River Delta

This paper conducts an analytical study on the urban-rural coordinated development (URCD) in Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration (YRDUA), and uses data from 2000–2015 of 27 central cities to spatial temporal evolution patterns URCD discover influencing factors driving forces behind it through PCA, ESDA regression models. It reveals that YRDUA shows obvious club convergence phenomenon during research duration. The regions with high-level gather mainly part agglomeration, while remaining mostly have low-level URCD, reflecting regional aggregation divergence. At same time, we split into efficiency equity: efficient (URED) also exhibits similar spatiotemporal patterns, but balanced (URBD) show some variability. Finally, by analyzing major years 2000–2015, can be concluded that: (i) In recent years, such as government financial input consumption no longer play main role. (ii) Influencing industrialization degree, fixed asset investment foreign even limit years. above results should redesign at system level give full contributing depending actual state different promote rural areas. this idea measuring two dimensions equity is practical feasible, econometric model reveal distribution heterogeneity time characteristics development, which provide useful insights for integration other countries regions.
